About the Role


As our first Business Development Lead, your role will be to identify new and promising business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow. Your work will involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate market to enhance the venture’s operation, position or reputation in some way.


Your Tasks

  • Think strategically – be able to see the bigger picture and set aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
  • Research, identify and develop new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, growth areas, customers and partnerships
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes, such as setting up a new subsidiary to foster the business’ internationalization strategy
  • Have a good understanding of the venture’s product and be able to advise relevant stakeholders about it
  • Know our competitor landscape, the respective strengths and weaknesses and identify potential cooperation partners as well as acquisition targets
  • Secure market share and place a product on the market, as well as develop existing business fields further
  • Create and deliver strong and structured presentations towards the venture’s Growth Board and potential partners


Your Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating at all levels, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills

  • Excellent knowledge in creating presentations using PowerPoint + good Excel skills (e.g., business plan calculations)
